The Next Chapter looks forward to hosting its 1st Saturday Series Event of 2026 with the return of Estate Planning Workshop presented by Amir Befroui, an attorney of the Weaver Law Firm, on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 11 AM. In this instructive session, attendees will receive simplified, in-person guidance on estate planning.
The Next Chapter Feature Film Series (FFS) concludes for the season on Thursday, May 14 starting at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing Drop, the 2025 psychological thriller about a widowed mother’s first date in years taking a terrifying turn when she’s bombarded with anonymous threatening messages on her phone during their upscale dinner. This film stars Meghann Fahy, Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, and Jeffery Self.
The Next Chapter Classics Revisited continues Thursday, May 07 at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing The Incredibles, the 2004 Disney Pixar animated film about a family of undercover superheroes forced into action to save the world. This film features the vocal talents of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Lee, and Teddy Newton. Rated PG, The Incredibles lasts 1 hour, 55 minutes and includes Closed Captions.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Social Hour
Join us at the library for an AAC User Social Hour with a focus on connection-- providing a welcoming space to meet, socialize, and communicate with other AAC users in our community. Participants can share experiences and tips while also having the opportunity to ask the Humble ISD AT team questions about devices, features, and communication strategies.
