Summer Reading Program

Join with other preschoolers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Preschool Story Time uses stories, songs and finger plays, and a craft or activity to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3 - 6 years. This week we'll be celebrating Summerween! 

Children and adults must have a ticket to attend Preschool Story Time.

Teens ages 12-18 can learn how to create a character for playing the popular roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Saturday, July 25th at 3:00 PM! All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own dice and wear a costume! 

A 30 minute storytime and sing-a-long session featuring If You Sing a Song to a Dragon written by Alisa Magallón that provides an introduction to classic fables or original stories. Explores rhyming, theatrical interpretations of text, and singing.

"Unearth a Story"

For the final Summer Reading Program Adult Craft of the year we will be painting ceramic vases.

Space and materials are limited. Registration required and all attendees must be 18 years or older.

All supplies are provided by the friends of Freeman.

Every child has an artist inside them! At our Art Club, they will enjoy a variety of activities whether it be painting, drawing, coloring and much more! All materials provided. 

All materials will be provided. Program is for All Ages.

Join us for a special movie screening at the library!

Come watch a hilarious prehistoric adventure where a grumpy mammoth, a goofy sloth, and a saber-toothed tiger unexpectedly team up to return a lost baby home.

This movie is rated PG, and has a runtime of 81 minutes. This program is intended for all ages. 

The Children's Museum of Houston has prepared workshops for you!

This Para Los Niños workshop includes learning activities to use at home related to the theme Raising a reader.
This program is appropriate for families with children ages 7 and younger.

Participate in this program for a Children's Museum pass for up to six people.

Teens ages 14-18 are invited to our Field Day event! This event will feature three sporting events: a relay race, a penalty shoot-out, and a game of HORSE. Each category will have one winner who will receive a gift card prize at the end.

Registration is not required. Teens are also not required to compete in all three categories.

Please arrive early with a parent to sign a liability waiver before the event.

Join Zarate like Karate for an exciting karate class for ages 4–14! Kids will learn basic martial arts techniques, build confidence, and have fun staying active. 

Please dress comfortably and wear clothes suitable for movement. This program is for ages 4-14.
