Summer Reading Program

End of the Summer Foam Party - Grab your towel and join the party in a mind-blowing mountain of foam! Our foam party will be held in the park, right next door to the Galena Park Branch Library. Space is limited, so don’t be late!

Fin del verano fiesta de espuma - ¡Trae tu toalla y únete a la fiesta en una alucinante montaña de espuma durante nuestra FOAM PARTY! Nuestra fiesta de la espuma se llevará a cabo en el parque, justo al lado de la Biblioteca de Galena Park. El espacio es limitado, ¡así que no llegues tarde!

Join Ms. Amanda as she introduces the basics of textile weaving! Participants will have the opportunity to make a mug rug to take home. All materials will be provided!

This program is for children ages 8-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

Unwind in the Teen Space with an hour of lo-fi beats, gentle lighting, and a peaceful atmosphere—perfect for studying, catching up on homework, or just taking a moment to relax. 

This program is open to ages 12-17,18 if in high school.  

Storytime for Toddlers
Join Ms. Sharon for a lively, interactive storytime designed especially for toddlers. Little ones will enjoy singing, movement, and simple dinosaur-themed stories in a fun and welcoming environment.
This program includes songs, early literacy activities, and a hands-on craft.

Join us for 30 minutes of story time for our youngest library users! Our “Little Readers” program is for children 0 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Little Readers features books, stories, songs, movements and group play time. Come and develop your child’s early literacy skills in this fun environment.

Come and join us for 45 minutes of sensory exploration and discovery! Our "Little Explorers" program is for preschool age children from 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers. Please dress to get messy! This event is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Each session requires a free ticket for kids in attendance. Tickets are available in the library on the morning of the event.

Join us for an evening family story time.  You may wear your pajamas and join us for some fun stories and action rhymes before bedtime!  This program is recommended for children and their families.
