Family Playdate Workshop

The Family Playdate Workshop is a five-week program intended for children, aged 5 years-old and under, and their caregivers. Caregivers and children gather in a room with passive toys that encourage playtime and socialization.

Drop off new or gently used Halloween costumes and accessories at the library and help stock the Boo-tique. 

All ages and sizes are welcome! 

Bring all drops to the 2nd Floor Reference Desk.

Learn the components of Excel for creating and editing spreadsheets. The focus is on using the Ribbon as well as the Insert, Page Layout, View and Help. Participants will learn how to create simple formulas and graphs/charts.

Participants will learn how to create new documents, edit and save documents to the hard drive and a removable drive. Please bring a USB to class if you would like to save your work.

Prerequisite Recommended: Basic Computer Operations, Basic Word Processing and Spreadsheet Concepts and Skills

Join our Tween Book Club here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! We will discuss a new book every month paired with a fun activity.

The book for September will be The Last Beekeeper by Pablo Cartaya.

Popcorn is, of course, provided! You may bring you own snacks too.

Patrons bring a whole plant, plant clipping, or seeds to exchange. Patrons can talk with each other and learn about new plants. Tea and cookies could be provided for gardening chats.

Use advanced Excel features to understand and create Relative and Absolute formulas, If-Then functions and filters/sorting capabilities, conditional formatting, and assorted tips and tricks using Excel.

Please bring a USB to class if you would like to save your work.

Teens!  Using a needle and felting wool, design and create an artistic landscape or a 3D animal!

Program begins at 1pm in the Teen Lounge on the 2nd floor.
