SPECIAL EVENT: Kaminari Taiko of Houston

"Kaminari Taiko is a Japanese drumming ensemble based in Houston, Texas. We share the spirit of taiko with audiences large and small through high-energy performances that fuse traditional instruments with modern rhythms."

Join us at 4 p.m. to do some science and learn about something cool, weird, or just plain amazing. No registration required. Materials are limited and supplied on a "first come; first served" basis.

Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books. The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
