Spring Branch Memorial Branch Library
Join us for a monthly event designed to help reluctant or shy readers gain confidence, with the help of some very good dogs. Paws for Therapy will provide trained therapy dogs, ready to help your child practice their reading! Each participant will get 10 minutes to read a book of their choice to a friendly, non-judgmental dog. It’s guaranteed to be a doggone good time.
Reserve your spot the day of the event by selecting a time slot on our sign-up sheet 30 minutes prior to the program.
Celebrate DINOvember with us on Wednesday, November 12th at 4:15! We'll learn about the layers of the earth where dinosaur fossils are found and then we'll make our own edible "dirt" cup using cookies, pudding, and other yummy ingredients.
This program is intended for ages 5-9. Registration required. Siblings are welcome but must also be registered. Registration opens on October 29th at noon.
We will use ingredients containing wheat, soy, chocolate, sugar, gelatin, and dairy. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Join us for a fun interactive weekly story time perfect for walkers. Tiny Tykes uses stories, songs and finger plays to engage toddlers and their parents/caregivers. Tickets are required and will be handed out at the information desk 15 minutes prior.
This program is held in our meeting room or on nice days we may move to the Reading Garden, weather permitting.
Ticket distribution begins 15 minutes prior to any event/program.
Teens ages 13-18 can register to play the popular roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library! All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own dice and wear a costume! Our November adventure features a seasonal treat and participating adventurers will get to partake! Please let us know if you have any food allergies!
Tweens aged 9-12 can choose from a selection of board games to play with friends new and old at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Tuesday, November 18th at 4:30pm!
Teens ages 13-18 can join us at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library once a month to earn an hour of volunteer credit by doing a project for a local community organization! This month we will be helping Houston Pets Alive!
