Enjoy some time to bond with your baby and meet new friends. This program is for babies and will feature lap-sit stories, songs, activities and time to socialize with others. Story time is an excellent way to bond with your child, boost their vocabulary, and hopefully raise a lifelong reader. Studies have shown that regularly reading to your child can increase their attention span, boost their emotional intelligence, and flex their imagination. A free ticket is required and can be picked up at the information desk 30 minutes prior to the program.

We will help give you the resources you need to expand your child’s skills, preparing them to read. Recommended for children ages 2-5 years, it features age appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays. Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and teen volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading.
The Fall cycle of Book Buddies will run from September 17th to November 19th. Reading sessions will be in the library meeting room.
Design a tote bag that’s uniquely yours in this fun, hands-on Cricut workshop. Learn how to create a design, cut it with Cricut, and apply it to your tote using heat-transfer vinyl. No Cricut experience needed! All materials are provided.
