Start the new year with healthy cooking habits! All adults, join us on Monday, January 12, at 2 PM, for Cooking Matters. We will have hands-on activities and a cooking demo that will improve skills in planning and preparing healthy and tasty meals. This program is presented by Harris County Public Health. Registration is required.
Harris County Public Library is thrilled to welcome acclaimed author Saadia Faruqi to discuss her newest middle grade book Some of Us Are Brave - a stirring new novel from the perspectives of three different kids who are navigating the waters of fear and friendship through the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

MM's competitive book club members meet monthly to review readings and get competition ready! Must be in high school to join.
Grades 3 to 12 bring your binders and come play Pokemon! Game mates and packs available, parents must sign a permission slip to allow their children to trade cards.
Youth grades 4 to 12 come play Super Smash Bros, race in Mario Kart on our switch, or play games on one of our "retro" consols! Snacks provided!
Teens grades 6 to 12 come hang out with fellow anime/manga fans to watch anime and enjoy Asian snacks!
Youth grades 3 to 12, stop by the meeting room to play one of our many board or card games, including chess!
