Cyanotype is a camera-less photographic printing process that produces blue prints using sunlight and iron salt chemicals. Teens are invited to make their own cyanotype prints at the library! All materials and snacks will be provided. This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Join us for an interactive early literacy experience for preschoolers and their caregivers. This program is geared toward children ages 3-6 years old and features songs, books, and crafts each week!
This program is a wonderful way to promote early literacy, social skills, and kindergarten readiness skills!
Space is limited. Please pick up your free tickets at the Children's Reference Desk the morning of the program to gain entry to Sapling story time.
Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Singer Sewing Machine! This orientation session will introduce participants to sewing machine operation. Those who complete the class will be able to request time to use a sewing machine at HCPL branches. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a sewing machine.
Please note that this is not a sewing instruction class. Participants will learn basic machine operation only.
Read Against the Machine is a nonfiction book club exploring social, cultural, historical, and political topics. Selections highlight varied perspectives and encourage readers to think critically about the ideas and narratives that shape contemporary life.
