Celebrate Women’s History Month with us at our Women’s History Tea Party—join us for a community gathering filled with conversation, connection, and appreciation for the women who paved the way.

Dress Code: Feel free to dress in your favorite tea party clothes!

Spots are limited. There will be 2 sessions. Session:1-1:30pm, Session 2: 1:30-2pm. Tickets to enter will be passed out 30 minutes before the event.

This is a Family Program!

Do you have a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade who loves stories—or one who could use a little extra reading support? Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks of reading adventures!

📚Begins: Tuesday, Feb 17th  | 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM

You're invited to attend Story Time every Tuesday at 11 am. 


Story Time is a great way for children to build early literacy skills with stories, rhymes and songs. Parents are encouraged to participate by sitting with children and singing (and learning!) new songs. 

Last half hour is craft time! 

Children of all ages are welcome.

A teaching artist from the Houston Ballet is visiting us at Aldine Library. 

DANCE TO LEARN is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. Houston Ballet teaching artists work together with teachers to create lessons that address TEKS in multiple subject areas while building Social Emotional Skills.

For Preschool-aged kids. Limit: 15-20 kids

Looking for homework help? Come on in to your local library to find the resources you need for success! Aldine Library will offer a quiet space for teens and kids on Thursdays @ 5:30 PM. Librarians will be on hand to provide assistance.

Harris County Public Library offers a variety of free resources, including computers, printers, and access to special research websites available with your library card.

Note: Librarians will not do the homework nor can we guarantee any grades; this program is here to offer assistance answering questions.
