Adults – the Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, July 27 at 2:00 in our Upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to seeing Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the 1984 action-adventure movie set in 1935 featuring the return of Indiana Jones. This film stars Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw, Amrish Puri, Philip Stone, Roshan Seth, and Ke Huy Quan. Rated PG, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom lasts 1 hour, 58 minutes and includes Closed Captions.

Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.  

Tickets are required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. They are are free and available at 10:00 am when the library opens at the Children's Reference Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. Lines for tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out quickly so please plan accordingly.

Join us for introductory Yoga series where we will explore the many physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Participants will practice gentle movement and simple meditation techniques aimed at increasing physical ease and mental clarity. The program will be adapted to the ability levels of those who register, and no prior yoga experience is required.

New to journaling? Already love it and want to connect with others?

Join us for Freeman Scribblers, a relaxed, creative space where we’ll explore different journaling styles and techniques for all kinds of writers — from beginners to seasoned journalers.

Some materials will be provided.  Participants are encouraged to bring a blank or recurring journal and any favorite journaling supplies they’d like to use.

Please join us for this come and go program from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. No tickets required for this craft extravaganza.

Adults deserve to play too! On the first Saturday of the month, join us all day in the second floor Conference Room for creativity and construction.

Any attendant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.


There will be no Adult LEGO Saturdays during the holiday weekends of:

April 4, 2026 (Easter weekend)July 4, 2026September 5, 2026 (Labor Day weekend)

If you knit, crochet or do any other form of needlecraft please join us for the Freeman Needlecrafters. While attendees are happy to help others through the difficult parts of a project, this club is not intended as a class for instruction.

Participants volunteer to lead discussions and they pick the material. Normally they will propose a title and everyone agrees. This is a laid back but serious group.  They meet in person, February - November.
