The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 10 AM to 12:30 PM on the 4th Saturday of each month except for May(meets the week after), November (meets the week before) and December.(no meeting).

Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.

The Next Chapter looks forward to hosting its 1st Saturday Series Event of 2026 with the return of Estate Planning Workshop presented by Amir Befroui, an attorney of the Weaver Law Firm, on Saturday, June 13, beginning at 11 AM. In this instructive session, attendees will receive simplified, in-person guidance on estate planning.
Come enjoy some refreshments while helping discuss programs and help make the Zone better for teens and young adults at the library! Earn volunteer hours and explore opportunities to earn more over the summer.

In this program, you'll learn how to make chicken lollipops out of drumettes along with a jicama, blueberry, and nut salad, and everyone will have the chance to try this delicious meal!
Accompanied with a short presentation on the speculated Neanderthal diet, attendees will gain some insight into what our ancestors ate.
