Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library

Recommended for children 18 months to 3 years and their parent or caregiver. Toddlers will learn as they dance and move and play with developmentally appropriate toys! 

Tickets are required for all programs unless otherwise noted. They are free and available 15 minutes before the program begins in the Children's Department. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Lines for the tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out very quickly, so please plan accordingly.

This is a writers' club meant for all writers to learn more about the art, share their work, and learn from other writers about their work process, publishing, and writing journey.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a brief excerpt from any Work In Progress (WIPs) or other material they are willing to share. At your discretion, you may bring handouts with the material printed on it.

Writers of all levels are welcomed, including people just wanting to learn more!

Meet fellow fans while enjoying themed crafts, games, and activities. Create your own photo cards, make custom keychains and buttons, test your knowledge with trivia, and spend the day connecting with others who share your love of the game.

The Zone program space will open for lo-fi hang out, study, and board games for a couple hours after school. Music and snacks may be provided.

HCPL has partnered with Oldways to present classes on how to eat healthy by following a traditional Latin American diet!

This program will feature two dishes rich in herbs, spices, and tubers. Those dishes are:

Library staff will give a presentation on the dishes and prepare them for everyone to share!
