Celebrate our planet by building a birdfeeder to put in your yard!

Recommended for school-age children ages 5-12. These programs are designed to engage children in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities and change on a monthly basis.

Tickets are required for all programs unless otherwise noted. They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program begins at the Children’s Information Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Use basic materials to build a boat...will it float?

  • Description: Kids will design and test paper airplanes while learning simple science ideas like how things fly and how small changes affect performance. We’ll have friendly contests for distance, airtime, and accuracy. Easy, exciting, and made with just paper—STEM starts here! Hosted by CyFair ISD student Diego Martinez.

Join us after school from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm every 2nd Monday of the month for fun art projects and crafts! This program is designed for 7-11 year olds/2nd-5th grade children. See you there!

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.

This event is open to all ages. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
