Harris County Public Library is thrilled to welcome acclaimed author Saadia Faruqi to discuss her newest middle grade book Some of Us Are Brave - a stirring new novel from the perspectives of three different kids who are navigating the waters of fear and friendship through the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Early Arrival suggested: FREE tickets for this event will be available 30 minutes before the event. The first 50 families will receive a FREE copy of the book.*

Spring into a new hobby! In this program you will learn about a new hobby every week such as gardening or jewelry making, and get a chance to try out! The goal of this program is to spark a child's interest in learning a new hobby. This program is for children in Kindergarten- 5th grade.
