Discover the science of sound through interactive experiments and musical demonstrations at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Tuesday, June 2 at 4:00 PM! Participants will explore how sound travels through vibrations, investigate different forms of energy, and rotate through hands-on lab stations focused on sound waves, energy transfer, and the Law of Conservation of Energy. Recommended for 3rd – 5th Grade or ages 8-12.
Tweens
It's the first day of Summer Reading and we're so excited we're throwing a party! Come to the library and register the whole family for SRP (you, too, adults!) and enjoy some fun crafts while you do it. We just can't wait to get started and we hope you join us.
Please note that parents must register their children for the SRP program, therefore parents are required at this event.
Tweens! Will you survive the night and discover who among you is a werewolf?? Tweens ages 8-12 can join us on Tuesday, July 21st at 4:00pm to play Werewolf.
Werewolf is a roleplaying game where everyone is dealt a secret role. Villagers will try to discover who is a secret werewolf before it's too late!
Recommended for children ages 3-12. Drop in to create a no mess painted butterfly, a butterfly mural to decorate the Children's Department and one mystery craft.

Recommended for children ages 4-12. Tommy Terrific presents A Magical Dinosaur Dig! This interactive magic show features a giant magic trunk filled with dinosaur fossils and exploration tools. With the help of the Magician’s Handbook, kids guide Tommy on a magical adventure where the world of dinosaurs comes alive in wacky and unexpected ways. From the T. rex to the Triceratops and beyond, young audiences will uncover fun facts about dinosaurs and the age in which they lived.

Hang out at the library and play a game of teamwork and betrayal. We'll play Among Us on Tuesday, July 14th at 3:30pm.
All equipment provided. Space limited. Pick up free tickets at the front desk 15 minutes before the program starts to secure your spot. This program is for ages 8-18.

There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:
- How each chess pieces move
- Chess rules
- Review how to use a chess clock
- How to use notation
- How to set up the chess board
- Discuss special moves
- Describe check and checkmate
- Review chess principals
- Cover minor tactics
- Discuss end game principals
- Then members will get a chance to play each other
