Join us for a two-day creative workshop where teens will design phone pals out of clay that stick to your phone, laptop, or other surfaces for a fun personalized touch! 

On day one, participants will sculpt and customize their creations, then return the next day to paint, decorate, and finish their dried designs.

For teens in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Come see live animals at the library as the Zoofari inspires children to learn about animals , and in the process, they will be inspired to do great things for the protection of exotic animals and their native habitats as adults. This event is for ages 8-12 years old.

Ticket required to attend the event. Free event tickets will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting Monday, July 6th.

Wear your fancy clothes and join us for an art-inspired tea party with snacks and a craft! This Tea Party is for tweens ages 8-12 years old. 

Space is limited, tickets are required. Free tickets will be handed out at the Children's Reference Desk beginning on Wednesday July 1st.

RexFlix is your weekly Tuesday night destination for all things dinosaur — kick back for a dino-themed movie and take on your friends in a battle of board games. It's the most prehistoric fun you'll have all week.

This program is open to tweens and teens aged 11 to 18. Registration is not required, but space may be limited.

There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:

  1. How each chess pieces move
  2. Chess rules
  3. Review how to use a chess clock
  4. How to use notation
  5. How to set up the chess board
  6. Discuss special moves
  7. Describe check and checkmate
  8. Review chess principals
  9. Cover minor tactics
  10. Discuss end game principals
  11. Then members will get a chance to play each other
