Celebrate America 250 and help us wrap up the 2026 Summer Reading Program with an evening full of old-fashioned fun for the whole family! Step back in time and experience a taste of colonial America with hands-on activities, sweet treats, and historic games everyone can enjoy together.
Hang out at the library and play a game of teamwork and betrayal. We'll play Among Us on Tuesday, July 14th at 3:30pm.
All equipment provided. Space limited. Pick up free tickets at the front desk 15 minutes before the program starts to secure your spot. This program is for ages 8-18.
Join us for a slumber party-themed party! We will be playing games, making friendship bracelets, and other fun activities. Snacks and supplies will be provided. Please note that this is NOT an overnight event.
NOTE: this is a young adult program and is aimed at ages 13 through 18. Content may not be appropriate for younger children. Children under age 13 may attend at their parent or guardian's discretion.
On Monday, July 27th, the Katy Fire Fighter Department will be visiting from 4-5 pm! Come learn about fire safety and the ins and outs of a fire truck!

The floor is lava and you have to save all the ducks from burning up! Can you conquer this build challenge and save all the rubber ducks from the lava using only common household items?
Teens and tweens ages 11 - 17 are invited to a social hour with games, crafts, and fun! Registration is preferred but not required—feel free to drop in!
Join us each day for an art camp!
Kids will learn and create something brand new each day of the week and get a free field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston on Friday!
Space is limited. Registration for this program is first-come first-serve, but there will be a waitlist.
The program is open to children ages 7 to 12 years old. Parents must register their child in-person at the Aldine Branch Library (11331 Airline Dr., Houston, TX 77037)
Imagination and problem-solving with Legos! In “The Building Blocks of STEM” teens will use Lego bricks to complete interactive challenges. Participants will have fun while developing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Presented by Young Audiences & iAct Houston.
Open to ages 11-18 only.
Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time.
