Join us for a special visit from Harris County Emergency Services District 48 Fire-EMS! Kids will have the chance to meet real firefighters and first responders, learn about fire safety, and even explore a real fire truck up close. Don’t miss this exciting, hands-on experience that’s both fun and educational for the whole family!

Step into history and explore the people, places, and events that shaped our country. The American Revolution Experience, a collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution is coming to Freeman Library!
The exhibition display panels and interactive kiosks use storytelling and illustration to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The exhibit will be on display at Freeman Library from April 27th through May 16th, 2026, during regular library business hours.

World Croc Day celebrates the wild nature of crocodiles. So the library invited a bunch of them to visit us for the Summer! Crocodile Encounter is here to teach you all about these modern relatives to the dinosaurs up close and personal.
This event will be hosted by our generous neighbors at the The George H. W. Bush Community Center, Room 226. There is no age restriction, so bring the whole family. This event is free with no ticket required.
