Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for the Mid-gradian adventures of your "stranger" dreams!

Sharpen your creativity, build social interaction and problem solving skills, learn new vocabulary, practice maths, and while you're at it, slay a few dragons.
Come enjoy some tween/teen-centered fantasy role-playing. Participants will take on the roles of wizards and warriors; facing challenges and forging friendships.

This program is best suited for tweens and teens only; ages 11 to 17.
Registration is required. Space is limited.

Join us for week 3, as our 'Stitch Witches' class guides you through the magical world of sewing and embroidery. This beginner-friendly program builds each week with new techniques, so regular attendance is encouraged. All supplies are provided.

West University Library is going to the dogs! Join us the first Saturday of every month for our program designed to help reluctant or shy readers gain confidence, with the help of some very good dogs. Paws for Therapy will provide trained therapy dogs, ready to help your child practice their reading! Each participant will get 15 minutes to read a book of their choice to a friendly, non-judgemental dog. It’s guaranteed to be a doggone good time.

Crack the code and challenge your brain at Teen Workshop Night with our exciting cryptogram activities! Whether you're a puzzle pro or just curious, you'll have a blast solving secret messages and learning simple ciphers. Come hang out, have fun, and unlock your inner codebreaker!

Tweens aged 9-12 can choose from a selection of board games to play with friends new and old at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Tuesday, September 16 at 4:30pm!

Otomi embroidery is the Mexican embroidery style known as "Tenangos", using vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs. Each Otomi piece is hand embroidered on Ivory muslin by Otomi artisans.

Otomi textiles represent a great Mexican tradition that has been passed from generation to generation. The Otomi designs are symbols based on native flora and fauna of the Otomi region. The animals and flowers in this Mexican embroidery represent the daily events of the Otomi culture in which we will appreciate animals such as deer, birds, rabbits, etc.

Come craft your own Noob Action Figure from Roblox to proudly display at home or school. Will you color the classic green pants and blue pants or a custom skin like Superhero or Rogue Space Assassin? Your imagination is the limit! (Recommended Ages 8+)

Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our Cricut Orientation!

This orientation session will introduce participants to the Cricut & Sublimation services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use the Cricut and Sublimation services at any HCPL branch that has one.

Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut/Sublimation Printer in the future.
