September 9th: Featured Activity - Pixie Punks: Experiment with textures, shapes, and styles to design a miniature woodland sprite out of twigs and leaves.

Looking for homework help? Come on in to your local library to find the resources you need for success! Aldine Library will offer a quiet space for teens and kids on Thursdays @ 5:30 PM. Librarians will be on hand to provide assistance.
Harris County Public Library offers a variety of free resources, including computers, printers, and access to special research websites available with your library card.
Note: Librarians will not do the homework nor can we guarantee any grades; this program is here to offer assistance answering questions.
Struggling in class? Join the personalized peer tutoring group, Learning Lounge, at the Barbara Bush Branch Library!
Each session features a mix of relaxing and engaging activities like puzzles, a creative hands-on project, and a group game to get everyone thinking and laughing. If you'd like extra help with schoolwork, you can sign up for one-on-one tutoring with a friendly peer tutor and head to a separate table for focused support.

Each club will tackle a new build. The build will be broken down into it's main components so that every level of builder can participate.
This is a program being run by a tween, so only attendees between the ages of 8 and 12 are welcome to attend.

Looking for a fun and relaxed space to connect with other homeschoolers? Homeschool HQ is a drop-in program just for kids ages 9–14! Whether you're working on a school project, want to get creative with crafts, or just hang out and chat with friends, we’ve got the supplies and the space. Come by for a laid-back afternoon with plenty of room for imagination, conversation, and community.

Each month builders work to complete an a build that may be silly, challenging, or sneaky, but always fun! Grades 4th -12th. Due to early voting this event will take place in the public section of the library (instead of the meeting room).
Join us for our Cricut orientation!
This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
Grades 3rd-12th come hang out with other Pokemon fans! The library has a limited number of battle decks, so you may want to bring your own. Trading or swapping cards is allowed only with parent's signed permission, and library staff is not responsible for the results of any trades. Grades 3rd-12th.
Challenge friends old and new to races or battles at Video Game Day! Grades 4th-5th.
