Celebrate Poetry Month at the Blackout Poetry Bash!

Students in grades 3-12 are invited to join us at the Barbara Bush Library on April 29th at 5pm for an exciting event where old text is transformed into art. Using pages from books/magazines/newspapers and markers, participants will create their own unique blackout poems by highlighting meaningful worlds and blacking out the rest. This engaging event is an amazing way to explore poetry, experiment with creativity, and connect with your community!

Supplies provided. Space is limited, so register today!

Join us at Aldine for a Lego night! We’ll provide as many Legos as you need to get your creativity flowing and make something awesome

Snacks will be provided.

Join the Barbara Bush Branch Library in welcoming the Kaminari Thunderstudies for a musical performance unlike any other!

Do you love the strong, rhythmic beat of drums? There's something special about the drumline in any performance. Taiko is a traditional form of drumming from Japan and we are so excited to bring this performance to you!

This event will be outside in the grassy area between The Pearl Fincher Museum and the N. Greenfield Dr. entrance to Collins Park. Please bring blankets to sit on.

Join our Tween Book Club here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! We will discuss a new book every month paired with a fun activity.

The book for May will be Lei and the Fire Goddess by Malia Maunakae.

Popcorn is, of course, provided! You may bring you own snacks too.

Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services within the Harris County Public Library system. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the 3D printer.

This class is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

We will meet in the Innovation Lab on the 2nd Floor.

Calling all teens and tweens! This is your space to relax and unwind. Draw and color, play some games, do a craft, or hang out with your friends—the possibilities are endless!

No registration is required. This event is open to ages 12 to 18.

• Description: Celebrate Earth Day with Lone Star College CyFair’s Environmental and Sustainability Club students. Kids will learn about environmentalist Rachel Carson and make a recycled craft to take home.

Calling all kids who want to be smart with money! Do you want to know how to save for what you really want? Curious how to make your money grow? Ready to learn skills most adults wish they knew sooner? Join us! All experience levels are welcome. 

*This program is for ages 10-15 years.

Grades 3 to 12 bring your binders and come play Pokémon! Game mats and a limited number of gaming packs will be available. Parents must sign a permission slip to allow their children to trade cards.
