A zine is a hand-made magazine or mini-comic about anything you can imagine! Use your imagination and stretch your creativity to express yourself and your ideas through this versatile medium. This beginner-friendly program builds each week with new techniques, so regular attendance is encouraged. All supplies provided.

This program is for teens ages 13-18.
In this program, one person's trash is another person's craft! This is a twist on scrapbooking, in which the journaler collects junk (receipts, tags, tickets, labels, produce stickers, magazine cut-outs, or whatever other flat item), then makes art out of the items by arranging, then gluing or taping and adding other mediums (sketching, painting, writing, etc.) All materials will be provided, including scrap materials, journals and snacks. No registration is required. This program is for teens ages 13-18.
Make your own trading cards and trade with friends! All materials and snacks will be provided. This program is for teens ages 13-18.
In this program, teens are invited to BYOB (build your own buttons, of course!) Draw or create a graphic design via Canva and press buttons with KW library's button maker. All materials and snacks will be provided.

Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).
Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.
