Create your own custom trinket dish at the library using air-dry clay! Shape, mold, and decorate a small dish perfect for holding jewelry, coins, or other small treasures.

For teens in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Sign up for a week of crafts, friendship, and fun! Every day is a different project. Registration is required since space is very limited and attendance on all 5 days of camp is required. Registration forms will be available starting Monday June 8th at the front desk. This program is for ages 10-14.

Teens ages 13 and up are invited to join a three-week mini Dungeons & Dragons adventure set at a mysterious summer camp deep in the woods. Teens will work together to investigate strange sightings, track down legendary cryptids, and uncover what’s really lurking beyond the campfire’s glow!

No prior D&D experience is required—new and experienced players are welcome. Pre-made Character sheets and dice will be provided. Registration is limited so sign up now!

Youth grades 2nd-12th are welcome to come learn chess from teen volunteers at the library! Join Andy and friends as they walk you through moves that will get you started and improve your game.  This program is for beginner and intermediate players.

There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:

  1. How each chess pieces move
  2. Chess rules
  3. Review how to use a chess clock
  4. How to use notation
  5. How to set up the chess board
  6. Discuss special moves
  7. Describe check and checkmate
  8. Review chess principals
  9. Cover minor tactics
  10. Discuss end game principals
  11. Then members will get a chance to play each other
