We’re going to be covering many new skills that build on each other each lesson. 

Is your shirt missing a few buttons? A favorite stuffed animal losing its stuffing? Join us for the Hand Sewing & Mending class taught by volunteers from the Houston chapter of the American Sewing Guild. 

Learn how to:

• Hand stitch
• Repair stuffed animals
• Repair hems 
• Re-attach loose/missing buttons

All ages are welcome, but class will require use of scissors and other sewing tools. 

Registration required. 

Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Singer Sewing Machine! This orientation session will introduce participants to sewing machine operation. Those who complete the class will be able to request time to use a sewing machine at HCPL branches. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a sewing machine.

Please note that this is not a sewing instruction class. Participants will learn basic machine operation only.
