Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 9 weeks of reading adventures!
Reading Sessions begin: Mondays | 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM
Teens! Using a needle and felting wool, design and create an artistic landscape or a 3D animal!
Program begins at 1pm in the Teen Lounge on the 2nd floor.

Teens and Tweens can kick off the Halloween weekend at Spook-Fest! Watch Hocus Pocus, create spook-tacular air dry clay monsters, and treat yourself to some yummy treats!
Build Your Own Fall Wreath using paper leaves, paper plates, stickers, and more! Make a beautiful centerpiece for Thanksgiving or an Autumnal wall hanging.
Join us in this very popular and relaxing craft activity. Diamond painting involves applying tiny resin rhinestones to a pre-printed canvas to create a mosaic-style art piece. Beginners are welcome and you will be able to create a Fall or Halloween themed keychain or magnet.
All supplies are provided.
The Northwest Library expresses its gratitude to the Friends of the Northwest Branch Library for their support in providing supplies.
Teen Advisory Board will be hosting perler bead workshops. Teens will work together to make Christmas ornament crafts that will be sold by our friends of the library (A.M.I.G.O.S.) group to raise funds for more programs!
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an opportunity for teenagers to voice their ideas and opinions regarding library programs. Participation can be used for community service hours.
You don't need a library card to participate in this meeting. You also do not need to register, just show up!
