The Black History Quiz Bowl is formulated to be a competition where people exhibit their knowledge of significant people and events, past and present related to Black History. Study guides can be found at the front desk. Geared towards ages 12+. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.
This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutter services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a laser cutter at HCPL maker locations. This class is appropriate for patrons ages 12 and up. Join us for the Monthly Make and Mingle- A hands-on program where creativity meets technology! Each month, adults and teens are invited to explore a new craft or DIY project using in-house maker techniques—alongside traditional crafting supplies.
The craft for March will be BeDazzled Rhinestone Rubber Ducks! Put your diamond painting skills to the test and create a bejeweled rubber duck.

Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).
Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.
Teens, sidle up to the Bracelet Bar and create a wearable work of art!

Join Jacinto City Library in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. Using old Pokémon cards, come find your favorite Pokémon and create your own bookmark. Come hang out and chill while crafting and coloring. All Ages welcome!
