Step into the Literacy League, where stories come to life!
Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.
The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to cross-stitching, which is a form of counted-thread embroidery using X-shaped stitches to create a pattern.
This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.This orientation session will introduce participants to vinyl cutting, Cricut operation, heat pressing, sublimation printing and related software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use a vinyl cutter, Cricut machine, sublimation printer, or a heat press.
