Learn about 3D printing, including how 3D printers work, and how to create your own custom designs. Participants will earn a badge and be able to reserve future appointments to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches.
Teens
Teens ages 13-18 can join us at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library once a month to earn an hour of volunteer credit by doing a project for a local community organization! In April, we will be assisting the library.

With no assigned book or group discussion, Introvert Happy Hour Book Club is ideal for those who want the community of a book club without the homework, conversation, and social pressure. Please join us in the Upstairs Conference Room on the second Monday of the month to read silently as a group without any discussion and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. The door opens at 6:00 PM.

Join us at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Wednesday, April 8th from 2pm-4pm for a Homeschool Hangout! Code Ninjas will present a program where students will explore LEGO robotics by building & programming moving robots using motors & sensors, while also learning MakeCode to bring their creations to life through hands-on coding.
This program is for ages 6-18. All equipment will be provided.
Registration is required. Registration will open on March 25th.

Anyone ages 8-18 can join us.
Chess club is usually on the 1st Thursday of each month at 4:30pm, but because of the spring holiday, we will be moving it to the first Tuesday in April, April 7th!

Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and teen volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading.
The Spring cycle of Book Buddies will run from February19th to April 30th. Reading sessions will be in the library meeting room.
Join Aldine Branch Library for a movie night! Eat some popcorn and watch a fun movie with the whole family.
Teens! Using a needle and felting wool, design and create an artistic landscape or a 3D animal!
Program begins at 1pm in the Teen Lounge on the 2nd floor.
