Dig deep into a new adventure! Join us at the High Meadows Branch Library for an action-packed day as we "Unearth a Story" to launch our 2026 Summer Reading Program. From galactic mascots to local heroes, we’re kicking off a season of discovery, imagination, and community.

Whether you're looking to find your next favorite book or just want to enjoy some free summer treats, we have something for explorers of all ages!

Special Pals, a local animal shelter, will be bringing cats to adopt and play with during this special event! All participants will need to sign a waiver before entering the cat room. Children must be accompanied by an adult and have a waiver signed by their adult on their behalf. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Before the event, we will have a donation box to accept pet food and other supplies to support the animals at Special Pals.

A weekly Computer Class for Adult Beginners to discover and improve their skills in this increasingly high-tech age. Every week we learn by doing Word, Excel, Email, PDF, Internet Safety, Google Searches, HCPL resources and more!  Must have a library card to attend.
