Watercolor for “Young at heART” adults meets every Tuesday morning to enjoy watercolor painting while commiserating with fellow artists! This friendly and social group is open to all adults and to all levels of art experience, including those who have never painted with watercolor at all. Sometimes the group works on individual projects and sometimes there is an art education period. Sometimes you will learn something new and sometimes you can teach something to others. Often described as 'meditation in motion', Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow-motion exercise that helps to strengthen your muscles and relax your mind.
Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our Cricut-Sublimation Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to the Cricut-Sublimation services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use a Cricut machine and Sublimation printer at any participating HCPL branch.
Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut machine and/or Sublimation printer in the future.
Do you need help with technology? Book a 45-minute appointment with a staff member, we will try to help you figure it out!
Registration is required. To assist as many individuals as possible, you may only register for one appointment per week. If no one arrives by 1:15, the appointment will be canceled.Seniors 55+ are invited to join the Maud Marks Library’s Timeless Travelers program for a trip to the Grand 1894 Opera House. Take a guided tour led by one of their knowledgeable staff. You’ll hear fascinating stories about the theater’s past and have access to areas that aren’t part of the self-guided tour. The bus will be departing on Tuesday, May 19.
