Join Michael, Octavia Field Library Branch's Children's Librarian, for an hour of nursery rhymes, storytelling, arts & crafts and playtime. We'll talk, sing, write, read and play, and your prekindergarten age kiddos will have so much fun that they won't even realize they are gaining valuable pre-literacy skills. Ages 0-5.
Experience the magic of two languages at our Bilingual Storytime, specially designed for preschool and elementary-aged children. Each week features a fresh, exciting theme—from high-tech Robots to mythical Dragons. We go beyond the book with interactive games and hands-on instrument play to keep older kids engaged and moving. 🎨🖌 Krafty Kids offers a fantastic chance for your children to unleash their creativity while having a great time in a safe and inviting space. Whether it's painting, drawing, sculpting, or other activities, there’s something for every budding artist to delight in.

Join with other preschoolers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Preschool Story Time uses age appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and a take-home craft to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3-5 years.
Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Children must have a ticket to attend Preschool Story Time.

"Turn the Page" is a weekly story time filled with stories, songs, movement, interactive elements, and sensory play to further develop your child's literary, cognitive, and social skills.

Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun and engaging story time for the whole family! Each week, we build early literacy skills through the five essential practices: singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing.
Activities are thoughtfully designed to encourage learning, spark creativity, and foster a strong sense of community. Through hands-on experiences, children explore the world around them while building skills in speech and language development, music and movement, science, fine arts, and math.
