Join us at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Wednesday, April 8th from 2pm-4pm for a Homeschool Hangout! Code Ninjas will present a program where students will explore LEGO robotics by building & programming moving robots using motors & sensors, while also learning MakeCode to bring their creations to life through hands-on coding.
This program is for ages 6-18. All equipment will be provided.

Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and teen volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading.
The Spring cycle of Book Buddies will run from February19th to April 30th. Reading sessions will be in the library meeting room.
Experience the magic of two languages at our Bilingual Storytime, specially designed for children ages 5 to 8 years old. Each week features a fresh, exciting theme—from high-tech Robots to mythical Dragons. We go beyond the book with interactive games and hands-on instrument play to keep older kids engaged and moving. Join us for a monthly event designed to help reluctant or shy readers gain confidence, with the help of some very good dogs. Paws for Therapy will provide trained therapy dogs, ready to help your child practice their reading! Each participant will get 10 minutes to read a book of their choice to a friendly, non-judgmental dog. It’s guaranteed to be a doggone good time.

Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.

This story time will feature author and illustrator, Barbara Browning, a former teacher and Native Houstonian whose titles include Mighty Max Super Dog, Yammie Cat Goes Online, and A House for Lilly Mouse.
