Switch 2 Play is a weekly Thursday event at 4:00 PM in the library, where people of all ages can relax and connect through popular games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, Just Dance, Street Fighter VI, and more! All necessary equipment—including the console, controllers, and seating—is provided for a fun and easygoing gaming experience, though feel free to bring your own controllers if you prefer!

Step into history and explore the people, places, and events that shaped our country. The American Revolution Experience, a collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution is coming to Freeman Library!
The exhibition display panels and interactive kiosks use storytelling and illustration to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The exhibit will be on display at Freeman Library from April 27th through May 16th, 2026, during regular library business hours.
The renowned touring company, "Books Alive" has another incredible summer program for us, The Ballerina with Webbed Feet!
Come cool off and enjoy watching Disney/Pixar Good Dinosaur. We will have light refreshments and giveaways.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a 3D printer at HCPL locations, during which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees will receive 3D Printer and Lulzbot Mini 2 (machine) badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
