Get ready to innovate, create, and explore this autumn! Every week, young scientists and artists ages 5-10 will dive into a brand-new hands-on project that blends the worlds of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. From building structural towers out of seasonal treats to uncovering the hidden chemistry inside fall leaves, each session features a different interactive craft.
Come join us as we bring in the holiday season with sweet treats (either storebought or homemade) and swap holiday traditions! Bring the recipe (if you have it) so that you can share it with others. Also, please include any allergens that your cookies contain.
Disclaimer: Some of the cookies provided will be made in home kitchens so those with allergies, please be aware of potential cross-contamination.
By popular demand, the Freeman Library will be hosting a repeat weekend of our escape room!
Coinciding with this year’s Gulf Coast Reads pick, The Librarians by Sherry Thomas, this escape room is themed around an abandoned library found in a mysterious house left to you through an inheritance.
You’ll have 90 minutes to complete the room with a group maximum of 4 people.
Attendees under the age of 12 must have an adult in their group.
We might not see snow this winter but we can still make our own snowmen out of what we have laying around!
Ages 8-12
