Join us for Let's Build It! this summer. The library will provide the Legos, Duplos, Magna-Tiles, Lincoln Logs, Big Blue Blocks, Straw Connectors and more. We will have free play and organized team challenges.
All materials must stay at the library, but you are welcome to photograph your creations. Please leave your own Legos and other building toys at home. We don't want you to lose your favorite pieces!

With the help of the Magician's Handbook, the kids guide Tommy Terrific through a magical adventure where the world of dinosaurs come alive in wacky and unexpected ways. From the T-Rex to the Triceratops and beyond, the kids will uncover exciting facts about Dinosaurs and the Age in which they lived. Kids 5-12 years old.
Tickets will be provided 30 minutes before the program at the information desk. Space is limited.
There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:
- How each chess pieces move
- Chess rules
- Review how to use a chess clock
- How to use notation
- How to set up the chess board
- Discuss special moves
- Describe check and checkmate
- Review chess principals
- Cover minor tactics
- Discuss end game principals
- Then members will get a chance to play each other

In celebration of the end of Summer Reading, we will be having a teen lock-in on Friday, July 31st @ 6:15PM. Teens are invited for snacks, prizes, games, music and a escape room activity! Registration required.
