We’re so excited to announce that Family Place is coming to the High Meadows Branch Library! This special five-week series is designed to support parents and caregivers in a welcoming, relaxed environment where you can nurture your child’s development through play.
Each week, you’ll have the chance to connect with other local families and meet a different professional from across Harris County. These experts will share helpful tips, practical tools, and fresh ideas on early childhood themes to support your growing family.
Join with other toddlers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Toddler Time uses age-appropriate stories, songs and playing to engage toddlers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards toddlers ages 6 months through 3 years.
Take a break and get creative in the Teen Space! Drop in for a relaxing hour of coloring and calm. All supplies are provided.
This program is open to ages 12-17,18 if in high school.

Join Rootsquad Genealogy Group every 3rd Tuesday from 10a-12p to stay up-to-date on current family history industry news, hear research tips, learn from genealogy webinars and expert speakers, and share ways to improve research techniques. Are you looking for a way to continue to improve your English skills? ESL Classes are underway at the Aldine Branch Library.
The Aldine Branch Library will be offering:
- ESL - 2 (in-person)
- We will meet once a week on Tuesdays March 31st, 2026 - May 19th from 1pm - 2:30pm
A pre-assessment test is required. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you.
These courses are free of charge.

Book Buddies is a FREE program that pairs children with adult volunteers to share the joy of reading together. For 10 weeks, the Adult and Little Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading. Open to children in grades K-3rd.
Turn reading into an adventure and watch your child's confidence grow! Our Spring cycle of Book Buddies will run from March 18th to May 20th.
