Do you have a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade who loves stories—or one who could use a little extra reading support? Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks of reading adventures!
Learn or improve your English skills in person at the Aldine Branch Library.
- Class meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays
- 8 week session from August 4th to September 29th
- Registration required.
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
How to register:
You're invited to attend Story Time every Tuesday at 11 am.
Story Time is a great way for children to build early literacy skills with stories, rhymes and songs. Parents are encouraged to participate by sitting with children and singing (and learning!) new songs.
Last half hour is craft time!
Children of all ages are welcome.

Resume Building for Success!
Come and join the Future U team as we show you how to formulate and create a game-changing resume. We will give you tips, industry knowledge and other related job-readiness information to show you how to make your resume stand out from other applicants. This workshop will give you the tools and insight needed to turn your Resu-meh, into a Resu-YAAY!
Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. You must complete an English placement assessment to join the class. Taking this class will not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.
