We’ll cover:
What colleges are really looking for in your essay
How to pick the right topic (hint: it’s not always your biggest accomplishment)
Writing tips to help your story shine
Common pitfalls and how to avoid sounding like everyone else
This class is for people who already know a little about using a computer and want to learn Microsoft Excel. Over 6 weeks, we will practice navigating the grid, formatting with color and borders, sorting lists alphabetically, and using tools to let the computer do the math for you! The class meets one hour per week and is hands-on, beginner-friendly, and focused on learning skills by doing practical but fun projects.
Join us at Maud Marks Branch Library for a special morning with acclaimed author Jeff Chang, a leading voice on culture, race, and music in America today.
In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Chang will discuss his powerful new book, Water Mirror Echo: Bruce Lee and the Making of Asian America, in conversation with a guest moderator, followed by a book signing.
Lights, laughter, and classic cartoons!
Calling all teens—come hang out at the library for a special cartoon
Bring your own favorite snacks to enjoy while you watch and get ready for a fun-filled break with nonstop cartoon comedy. If you love animation and humor, this is the perfect event for you!
Stop by and enjoy our outdoor petting zoo, where you can meet and pet friendly farm animals—no tickets needed!
The petting zoo will be located behind the library beneath the two small trees. Since this is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather and bring water to stay comfortable.
There may be a wait to enter, and the line could be in direct sunlight, so please plan ahead.
This program is generously sponsored by Shell Federal Credit Union.
