Join us for a 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.

Children will enjoy hands-on projects, creativity, and summer fun in this program designed especially for elementary school-aged kids. All supplies provided. No registration required. Join Harris County Public Library for an evening with acclaimed author, filmmaker, and activist Curtis Chin as he discusses his memoir Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant. Hosted at Freeman Branch Library, this special event will feature a conversation with the author, audience Q&A, and a book signing.
Set against the backdrop of his family’s iconic Detroit restaurant, Chin’s memoir is a humorous, heartfelt, and deeply personal coming-of-age story exploring identity, family, community, and the Asian American experience.
