Bring your broken items to our Repair Café, where various volunteer repair coaches are on hand to help repair your items free of charge. We have tools and commonly needed materials on hand during the event. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix everything, but we are pretty sure you will have a good time while you are here. Join us for a 'Camping' themed story time!
"Born to Read" is a weekly story time filled with stories, songs, movement, interactive elements, and sensory play to promote early literacy development for babies and toddlers.
*Recommended for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers.
Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to using the Cricut in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut.
This event is open to those ages 13 and older. Teens ages 13-16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a laser cutter at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. This orientation session will introduce participants to vacuum forming services in the library, and the basics on how to create your own uniquely-shaped plastic molds. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a vacuum former at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a vacuum former.

Often described as 'meditation in motion', Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow-motion exercise that helps to strengthen your muscles and relax your mind.
Join us for our brand new Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "The Polter-Ghost Problem" by Betsy Uhrig. On Friday, October 3rd we will discuss chapters 1-24 and on Friday, October 17th we will discuss chapter 25 through the end of the book. This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.
Join us for our bi-monthly meeting to discuss important library issues brought up by YOU (the community) and help us to fundraise for the library! This group of like-minded individuals helps to mold the future of the library by contributing to valuable conversations and volunteering their time to help the library :) If you are interested in doing meaningful volunteer work for the benefit of the library we hope to see you there!

Spring Paranormal Investigations is coming to Fairbanks Library to talk about what to do if you feel a presence in your home that you can't quite explain. Listen to their spooky experiences and be ready with questions for the experts! Seating is limited so please call Fairbanks Library to secure your chair...and hope that someone isn't already sitting in it! Due to the nature of this subject, this program is intended for adults 18+.
