Turn Your Food Scraps into Something Good!
Bring your food waste to the Aldine Branch Library from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

We're partnering with Moonshot to collect food scraps for composting — a simple way to reduce landfill waste and give back to the earth

What can you bring?
Drop off any of the following compost-friendly items during the event only:

Want to make a difference at Evelyn Meador Library?

Join our Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and get the opportunity to plan out programs and support your community. TAG is a great way to interact with your peers and earn volunteer hours!

For teens in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Calling all teen artists! Whatever your medium is, you're invited to hang with other artists and work on your projects. Sketch pads, art pencils, markers, paints, yarn, crochet hooks, and more will be available for those who just want to show up and create. Snacks will also be provided. 

This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Join us every Wednesday at 10:30 am for songs, stories and fingerplays designed to develop your child's early literacy skills. Plus there is plenty of time for the children to play and for caregivers to socialize. Fun for  toddlers and their caregivers!

Save up your food scraps at home and bring it to Octavia Fields every Wednesday from 5-7 PM from October 29 through November 19.

Zero Waste will collect the items for compost, which helps reduce landfill impact.
