Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Mayku Vacuum Former. This orientation session will introduce participants to vacuum forming services in the library, and the basics on how to create your own uniquely-shaped plastic molds. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a vacuum former at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a vacuum former.
A new teen and young adult book club is forming at Freeman Library! Join us as we discuss enjoyable reads from the Young Adult collection! Liminal Pages will meet on selected Tuesdays at 5 PM in the Teen Zone Program Space on the second floor. Refreshments will be served.
This month’s book is The Mary Shelley Club, by Goldy Moldavsky.
Join us for an interactive early literacy experience for infants and their caregivers. This program is geared toward babies newborn-18 months and features a 20-minute guided story time with songs, a book, and a new baby sign each week, followed by 25 minutes of free play and opportunity for community building between caregivers.
This program is a wonderful way to encourage your child’s language development, early literacy, and connect with other parents!

Join us for an evening family story time. You may wear your pajamas and join us for some fun stories and action rhymes before bedtime! This program is recommended for children and their families.
Join us and discover IRL at the library! For this STEAM edition of The Discovery Den, we'll be getting into spooky fun!
This program is for children ages 7-12. All program materials are free and will create mess.
Space is limited — pick up a free ticket at the front desk starting 30 minutes before the program begins.
Learn about bears, what they eat, and see if you can build a lunchbox that would keep you full through hibernation! Supplies will be provided. No actual food will be present at this program.
This program is intended for ages 9 through 12 and is not suitable for younger children.
Join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon of diamond painting! Diamond painting is a beginner friendly craft that involves applying tiny resin rhinestones to a pre-printed canvas to create a mosaic-style art piece. All skill levels are welcome! Everyone will be able to create a fall-themed magnet to take home.
