Presented by Artist Boat, Eco-Art Camp will unearth the secrets hidden at the bottom of the ocean. During this weeklong camp at the library, students will experience hands-on activities and art creation to understand “Benthic Communities” or what is at the bottom of the ocean. Participants will create watercolor seascapes, glow in the dark acrylic portraits of deep ocean dwelling organisms and create coral models out of clay.
Eco-Art Camp at Northwest Library is from July 13th to 17th from 4 pm to 6 pm. Eco Art Camp is for students ages 12 to 18 years. This is a free program that is open to the first 25 applicants. A waiting list will be kept for those who still wish to sign up after the first 25. To register for Eco-Art Camp pick up an application at the desk starting June 15th.
