During this orientation, you will learn about:
- In-person GED classes available through community colleges and trade schools
- Virtual GED academies that allow you to study at your own pace and on your own schedule
- Free library resources to practice for the GED exams
- Library e-books and study materials to help you prepare for the tests
If you are interested in earning a high school diploma instead of a GED, we will also share information about Career Online High School, HCPL’s self-paced online program. Eligible participants can apply online for a scholarship.

Availability for appointments
- Mondays: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM (Virtual)
- Fridays: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM (Virtual)
- Tuesdays–Thursdays: 12:00 PM–6:00 PM (In-person at select library locations)
