Join other adults on the third Monday of the month to talk about an unsolved crime or unexplained phenomena! We will cover a different topic each month ranging from true crime, to unsolved disasters, and unexplained paranormal creatures or events.

Each month, library staff with expertise in history will give a talk about different topics in American history to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This month, celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by learning all about Mexican Americans' efforts to secure civil rights, equality, and justice.
Join us for in-person, advanced English Conversational classes! These classes will meet on Monday evenings from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm and Saturday mornings from 11 am- 12pm.Come build speaking confidence, overcome the fear of making mistakes, and improve real-time pronunciation in a low-pressure setting.

Adults – the Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, September 28 at 2:00 in our downstairs Meeting Room. We look forward to seeing Disney Encanto, the 2021 animated film where an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift - every child except one, Mirabel. Celebrate spooky season and test your wits at Freeman’s first ever escape room!
Coinciding with this year’s Gulf Coast Reads pick, The Librarians by Sherry Thomas, this escape room is themed around an abandoned library found in a mysterious house left to you through an inheritance.
You’ll have 90 minutes to complete the room with a group maximum of 4 people.
Attendees under the age of 12 must have an adult in their group.
