No application is needed to attend your first class.  

This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut operation and software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut.

• This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up.
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Registration required.

Adults! Celebrate Earth Day with us by sharing the joy of gardening. Bring your extra plants or seeds and trade them for something new to grow. This event is also a great opportunity to mingle with other plant lovers, share tips, and chat about your favorite varieties.

General Guidelines - to help keep the swap fun and successful for everyone:

AARP Tax Aide will once again be available at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  This service will be available  Mondays from 11 am to 3 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm.  Service Begins: Monday, February 2, 2025 – Ends: Monday, April 13, 2025.  No Service on Saturday, April 4 due to Easter Holiday.

This program is free and available to the public.  You do NOT have to be a member of AARP, nor are there income or age limits on who can use this free service.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Learn computer basics, such as how to navigate the desktop and organize files in this introduction to Windows 11. This class is for beginners, no prior experience required. 

If you are trying to register multiple people:

This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutting in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the laser cutter. 

• This class is appropriate for patrons ages 12 and up. 
• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 

If you are trying to register multiple people:

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the 3D printer.

• This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up.
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. (Please register separately for yourself and each child)

Drop in to play a game! We will have board games and a Switch loaded with retro video games. Open to ages 18+
