Do you knit/crochet/craft? Please join us for our weekly meeting of the Knotty and Nice Club. We meet for 2 hours and socialize while working on our own projects or community charity projects. Please note that this is not a class but people are always available to help you if you need a LITTLE help. If you have never knitted or crocheted, the library offers many books and a few DVDs to learn. You can find many helpful videos on YouTube as well.

Are you looking for a way to continue to improve your English skills? ESL Classes are underway at the Aldine Branch Library.
The Aldine Branch Library will be offering:

- We will meet once a week on Tuesdays March 31st, 2026 - May 19th from 1pm - 2:30pm
A pre-assessment test is required. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you.
These courses are free of charge.

The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM on the 4th Monday of each month except for May(meets the week after) and December.(no meeting).

Adults – the Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, April 27 at 2:00 PM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. Calling all genealogists! We’ll be hosting an open lab for FamilySearch, a free, online resource for genealogy/family history research. This free program requires no registration but space is limited.
The Next Chapter Classics Revisited continues Thursday, April 23 at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing The Dark Knight, the 2008 superhero action epic. This film stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Gary Oldman. Rated PG-13, The Dark Knight lasts 2 hours, 32 minutes. This film includes Closed Captions.
This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to cross-stitching, which is a form of counted-thread embroidery using X-shaped stitches to create a pattern.
This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.Join us in the meeting room to discuss this month's book!
