Travel through time and experience life, art, and history through the eyes of African American women who have done AMAZING things to make the world a better place! Fly with Bessie Coleman, dance with Josephine Baker, and make art with Faith Ringgold!

Free tickets are required and are available at the Kid's Reference Desk at 10 AM. 

Due to space limitations, only one adult per child is permitted.

Become a Big Buddy and make a difference in a child's life!

Volunteers are needed to share the joy of reading with a young child in grades kindergarten through 3rd. For 10 weeks, go on reading adventures with a Little Buddy once a week for 45 minutes.

The next session at the Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Branch Library will run from March 18 to May 20. After this mandatory training, and if you're matched with a Little Buddy, meetings will be once a week on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm to read with your Little Buddy.

Need help filing your taxes? AARP has trained volunteers at the Kingwood Branch Library to help you file them for free!

The service is first come, first serve. No registration or appointments required. Please be sure to bring the following items with you: driver’s license, Social Security Card, and any relevant tax information for everyone included on the tax return.

Are you ready to learn English? Are you looking for a way to improve your English conversation skills?

Classes are free and all materials are provided. Pre-registration is required before anyone can attend.
