  •  You will practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  •  Class meets once a week on Mondays for 2 hours.
  •  The materials are provided by the library at no cost.

This session will explore the importance of being proactive rather than reactive when it comes to budgeting, saving, credit, debt management, and long-term financial planning. The presentation focuses on helping attendees develop healthy financial habits and gain the knowledge needed to make confident financial decisions throughout life.

        Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

        There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:

        1. How each chess pieces move
        2. Chess rules
        3. Review how to use a chess clock
        4. How to use notation
        5. How to set up the chess board
        6. Discuss special moves
        7. Describe check and checkmate
        8. Review chess principals
        9. Cover minor tactics
        10. Discuss end game principals
        11. Then members will get a chance to play each other
