Join us on 2nd Tuesdays for the Afternoon Book Club, a self-run club of readers! If you enjoy sampling a wide range of authors and genres, this is the book club for you!

Some copies are available downstairs at the Reference Desk and at each meeting, but each member is responsible for obtaining their own copy. Please check out our catalog to request a book!

We welcome teens and adults to join us for a conversation and interactive session, as we shed light on period issues, period poverty, and period hygiene and how it impacts the lives of so many. Hosted by Jane's Special packs a non-profit inspiring women everywhere to break the silence and foster a community that advocates for period equity. There will be an opportunity to create your own period pack! 

Calling all genealogists! We’ll be hosting an open lab for FamilySearch, a free, online resource for genealogy/family history research. This free program requires no registration but space is limited.

The Next Chapter Summer Film Fest (SFF) continues Thursday, July 23 at 10:15 AM. We look forward to showing Superman, the 2025 DC superhero film starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, and Nathan Fillion. Rated PG-13, Superman lasts 2 hours, 9 minutes and includes Closed Captions.

Unearth your family’ history using genealogy research and tools. A representative from the West Houston Area Genealogy Society will present tools and resources you can use to uncover your family lineage. Learn how to get started with your genealogy research on Saturday, August 8, at 2 PM.

A weekly Computer Class for Adult Beginners to discover and improve their skills in this increasingly high-tech age. Topics include:

Join other adults on the third Monday of the month to talk about an unsolved crime or unexplained phenomena! We will cover a different topic each month ranging from true crime, to unsolved disasters, and unexplained paranormal creatures or events. In July, come ready to share your best theory about the abduction of Adam Walsh.
